World Heart Day

World Heart Day is celebrated every year on September 29th and aims to raise awareness about the importance of heart health and the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The day was created in 2000 by the World Heart Federation (WHF) in collaboration with the World Health Organization to sensitize people around the world to the risks of heart disease, healthy lifestyles, proper nutrition and regular physical activity. Since then, World Heart Day has become a global campaign in which governments, organizations, health professionals and the general public participate to reduce the incidence of heart disease and promote healthier lifestyles.
